CROOKHAM GUITAR LESSONS

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you so much for choosing me as your Guitar Tutor!

Whether you’ve signed up for a block of Guitar Lessons or are having them on a Pay-As-You-Go basis, I look forward to starting your Guitar journey and helping you along the way for as long as you like.

If you have paid for a block of 5, 6 (or even 10) lessons, you will get a FREE LESSON as the last lesson of said block. At the end of that block, you can decide whether or not you wish to continue having more lessons, however you’re under no obligation to have to.

If, for whatever reason you cannot make it to a lesson, then please let me know within 24 hours, and we can either reschedule in the same week, or continue in the next week (this is depending on the frequency of your lessons). If I have the availability to reschedule your lesson in the same week, then I will endeavour to do so, otherwise it may have to be in the next week.

Please consider that if you find yourself in a situation where you’re having to reschedule too often, like every week for example, this may affect your practicing and desire to continue. If that is the case, then we can either discuss an alternative and more suitable time and day that would work for you. I will do my best to accommodate for my student’s, however because my availability can be limited, please keep in mind that I may not be able to accommodate for every time a request is made to change the time and day.

Changing your time and day can consequently have a knock-on effect on other people’s lessons.

If you fail to give 24 hours’ notice to cancel a lesson then depending on the circumstances, your lesson may still be taken as a paid lesson, despite your absence. I do understand that life happens, so I fully appreciate that giving 24 hours’ notice may not always be met and adhered to.

In exceptional circumstances, like a family emergency just happened and you cannot make it to a lesson, but you’ve told me at the last minute, I would be compassionate and understand the situation. So given your absence, I wouldn’t necessarily take your lesson as a paid lesson. Again, having said that, it is purely circumstantial.

If you regularly have a lesson each week at a certain time and day, and have been doing so consistently for i.e. 6 months or a year, then ‘I forgot we had a lesson today’ is not an excuse.

I will of course provide you with 24 hours' notice as well, if for any reason I’m unable to make it to your lesson. In this case you will not lose any lessons you’ve paid for. I will honour the number of lessons paid for and that includes the FREE LESSON as well.

If you’ve bought a block of lessons, and maybe after the 2nd or 3rd lesson you decide that learning the Guitar isn’t for you, then you can request a refund for the paid lessons you haven’t had. I will encourage you to carry on at least to the end of the block you’ve purchased, but it is ultimately your decision. The Guitar is a hard instrument to learn, however it can be very fun, exciting and extremely rewarding, it is simply just a case of PRACTICING, PERSEVERING AND HAVING THE PATIENCE TOO!

-We’ve all got to start somewhere! –

CIRCUMSTANCES AND SITUATIONS THAT MAY RESULT IN YOUR LESSONS STOPPING

So sometimes certain circumstances (expected or unexpected) can lead to possibly having to stop lessons, whether it’s indefinitely or not. It can be difficult to know the exact outcome of what can happen; however, we can hopefully work out and come to an agreement going forward.

For example, you’re moving away but wish to continue having lessons with me, which is great, however we’ve arranged for you to do the lessons Online, as maybe you’ve moved to somewhere that’s too far away for me to travel to. This is agreed upon and you’re happy to do your lessons Online going forward. No worries!

Another example could be, you’re moving away to somewhere which is too far away for me to travel to, so we agree that you’re happy to come to my place for the lessons. You’ve paid for another block of lessons etc, everything’s arranged as to when we’re going to resume but then something unexpectedly happens, and you’re unable to come to my place at all. I’ve offered to do your lessons online, but you feel that it wouldn’t work for whatever reason (that you don’t necessarily have to disclose).

If this is the case then I’m afraid I cannot offer you a refund, as I’m still honouring what you’ve paid for with the offer to still teach you, just Online instead.

I obviously don’t want to upset anyone, so we will work out a solution as best as we possibly can together.

With all that said and hopefully understood, if you have any questions then please don’t hesitate to ask me.

I hope you enjoy your lessons with me!
